The Kitchen Replacement Co.

Guide

How long does a kitchen replacement take in Melbourne?

With The Kitchen Replacement Co., most kitchen replacements take as little as 7 days on site, from removing the old kitchen to final handover. Before that, your free quote usually arrives the same day, then your cabinetry is custom-made in our Melbourne factory ahead of your start date, so very little happens in your home until installation.

Before installation

  • Enquiry and a free, itemised quote, usually the same day for most kitchens
  • Design and selections: layout, finishes, benchtops and appliances
  • Your kitchen is custom-made in our Melbourne factory while your current kitchen stays in use
  • We confirm a start date and a clear timeline

The installation week

Because the cabinetry is made before we arrive, the time you spend without a kitchen is short. Most replacements are completed in as little as 7 days.

  • Removal of the old kitchen
  • Plumbing and electrical preparation
  • Installation of the new cabinetry
  • Benchtops, splashback and appliances
  • Final finishing and handover walk-through

What can make it take longer

Layout changes that move plumbing or walls, special-order materials or appliances, and anything unexpected found when the old kitchen comes out can add time. If anything affects your timeline, we tell you up front with your quote.
